McLean Course in Electrodiagnostic Medicine $45 The McLean Course in Electrodiagnostics is intended to allow first year residents to become knowledgeable of and comfortable with electrodiagnostic techniques. It is designed to be used either by educators as a course curriculum or as a stand-alone self-teaching tool for individuals. The electrodiagnostic material is broken into discrete topics and follows a standardized format. Each study includes bulletted lists of objectives, fundamental concepts, and tips for success. The procedural information is boxed and throughout the text photos to guide electrodiagnostic set-ups accompany the specific examples of lead placement and stimulation. Each unit includes multiple choice questions and answers. The McLean Course in Electrodiagnostics is the outgrowth of a course developed at the Kessler Institute in 2004 by a group of residents led by the late Jim McLean. The course furthered the understanding of electrodiagnostic fundamentals and provided hands-on practice for residents. Today the course has been adopted as part of the official curriculum at the Kessler Institute, is taught each spring at the Annual AAP meeting and is on the curriculum of several other major institutions. |

McLean $21.37 McLean was a farming community in 1910, when Henry Alonzo Storm established a general store that included the McLean Post Office; the opening of Storm’s Store is considered McLean’s unofficial beginning. The store was located on Chain Bridge Road beside a stop on the Great Falls and Old Dominion Railroad, an electrified trolley that ran from Rosslyn to Great Falls Park. The stop was named after John R. McLean, a founder of the trolley and owner of the Washington Post newspaper. A village and vibrant community gradually developed around Storm’s Store. The Franklin Sherman School, the first consolidated public school in Fairfax County, opened near the store in October 1914; McLean Day, the first event of its kind in the county, started in 1915 to raise money for the school; and the McLean Volunteer Fire Department incorporated in 1923 as Station 1 in Fairfax County. |

North Myrtle Beach Vacations
Myrtle Beach is practically synonymous with loosening up. It's hard to imagine a visitor to this destination taking Very Long to unwind, and upon leaving it'll be with a body and mind that are light and free. The coastal area known as the "Grand Strand" is attractive for many reasons, but to focus on an especially fun-friendly and not too overwhelming part of it, think North Myrtle Beach.
North Myrtle Beach is tops in more ways than one. It's located well within reach of all the vast area's attractions but it contains a healthy array of activities right on its own turf. Nine miles of spectacular beach, restaurants, shopping and parks all contribute to a general air of rest and relaxation, and once you've established a home base you won't have far to go to see and do everything you've heard about.
Theme parks, aquariums, mini-golf, and even a vineyard will entice you in one of many directions. The beach itself is of course a big draw, and will satisfy those urges you've been having to kick off your shoes, roll up your pant legs, and play around in the surf like you once did as a child. Nothing beats bringing daydreams to life, so continue your reveries just long enough to perfect them and then get ready to make it all happen.
Here's a sample day in North Myrtle Beach: wake up whenever you feel like it. You may be tempted to sleep in because you've been a bit overworked lately, but you also don't want to miss a second of your hard-earned trip so don't be surprised if excitement energizes you in a surprising way. The beach makes an excellent first stop, as watching the sun rise higher into the sky and enjoying the sounds of the waves as they practice their eternal ebb and flow will make you happy to be alive and color the rest of your day in a rosy light.
In addition to just lounging beneath a big umbrella with a paperback in hand, feel free to do a little beach combing, jet-skiing, surfing, fishing or snorkeling. The name of the game is doing what you please, so exhaust a few more beach-themed fantasies if you so please. Hopefully you've allowed yourself ample time to enjoy yourself, because you've only just begun to squeeze all the entertainment you can from North Myrtle Beach.

Jog along the shoreline or play Frisbee in the park, stroll down the pier or paddle across Mclean Park's lake. You'll be burning calories no matter what you do and this will be the kind of exercise that's virtually painless. When you're just having fun, that's the best way to stay fit and healthy - mentally and physically.
Dinner shows and family nighttime entertainment are another fun diversion, and if it's just the dinner you're after there are plenty of restaurants from which to choose. The Grand Strand has about 2,000 different places and they range from casual beachside seafood joints to upscale Italian or Japanese establishments. It's pretty safe to say that your appetite will be sated no matter what culinary delights you seek.
